Christine's journey into the world of dance began in Boston, Massachusetts, where she first discovered her love for step-dancing. Over the years, she has traversed New England, Eastern Canada, and Scotland, captivating audiences as part of the renowned quartet "Four on The Floor." Their performances, characterized by rhythmic precision and an infectious energy, have been a highlight at numerous Irish and Celtic Festivals, earning them widespread acclaim. A memorable collaboration with Grammy-nominated musician Natalie MacMaster stands out as a testament to their prowess and popularity in the Celtic music and dance scene.

At Christine Morrison’s Academy of Celtic Dance, Christine leverages her extensive experience in Irish Step Dancing and Cape Breton (Scottish) Step Dancing to offer a unique "Celtic Combo" curriculum. Her high-energy classes, developed over more than two decades of teaching, are designed not only to preserve the tradition of step-dancing but also to innovate, embracing both classic steps and contemporary choreography that keeps pace with the evolving worlds of Irish and Scottish dance.

Holding a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, Christine has a profound commitment to working with children and teens of all abilities. Her teaching style is deeply influenced by her dedication to fostering a love of dance and supporting the personal growth of her students through the discipline and joy of dance.

Beyond the dance studio, Christine cherishes time spent at her lake house, exploring Cape Breton, enjoying concerts, and being with friends and family.
